About Page

Hi – I’m Karen Saari (rhymes with fairy) and I’m happy to meet you. I’ve always loved the word serendipity – it’s a fun word to hear and to say, kind of rolls right off your tongue. And best of all, you never know what’s going to happen when you start living in the serendipitous moment. You’ll notice things you never did before, you’ll hear things you didn’t hear before, and you’ll see new uses for some old things. That’s what we’ll be doing here – living in serendipity.

So, who am I? Just Karen. 🙂 But that doesn’t give you much to go on does it? I’m married to the most amazing man, I have grown children, one still growing and lots of brilliant, beautiful grandchildren. I also attend college online (what a fantastic invention that is!) at Southern New Hampshire University working toward my BA in Creative Writing and a minor in Graphic Design.

I’m the Editor of The Quilt Pattern Magazine – if you’re a quilter, check it out!

I’m an author, I do love to write. You can find my books on Amazon (and very soon on Barnes and Noble)

Morningshine – Book 1

Morning Glory – Book 2

{Book 3 is being written}

Log Cabin Quilts: A Brand New Story by Karen Murphy (Yup that’s me)

I love to sew, knit, crochet, read, decorate my home, yard sale, thrift shop, clearance shop, turn something funky into something else and generally if I can play with fiber, glue or paint I like to do it. Oh don’t forget sandpaper.

So, that’s what we’ll be doing here – everything crafty and home decor, maybe some cooking (stranger things have happened).

Are you ready to live in  Serendipity?

Karen Saari
